Free shipping bar doesn't show
A checklist for when your rewards bar is missing, or shoppers still pay for shipping.
The free-shipping bar is a milestone on a rewards bar in your PageStax cart design. Work through this list in order.
1. Is your cart design published?#
The rewards bar lives in your cart design, which is shown only after you publish it with Your store's cart. Until then PageStax adds nothing to your cart, and shoppers see your theme's cart. In Pages, filter by Cart and check the card says Live. See Cart design and the cart drawer.
2. Does the bar have a milestone?#
Open the cart design, select the rewards bar and look at Milestones in Content. A bar with no milestones shows nothing on your storefront — PageStax has no built-in rewards.
3. Is the bar, or its section, hidden?#
Check Layers: a hidden section or element is kept on the page but not shown. Show it again with the eye icon.
4. Did you publish or push after editing?#
Edits to a live cart design wait as Draft changes. Push them live from Home (Push N changes live) or republish the cart.
5. Is the drawer opening at all?#
- The drawer runs through the PageStax app embed. Check Settings → Publishing & embed, and make sure PageStax is switched on under App embeds in your theme editor.
- By default the drawer only takes over links to
/cart. If your theme's cart icon opens the theme's own drawer, turn on Replace your theme's cart icon in the cart design's Page settings. - On pages PageStax shows as a full page (such as a PageStax home page), Add to cart goes to
/cartinstead of opening the drawer. The bar is shown there.
The bar shows, but shipping isn't free#
The bar only shows progress. Shipping is free only if Shopify has a free rate for that cart: add one in Shopify admin → Settings → Shipping and delivery starting at your milestone's amount. A free-shipping offer is refused at go-live until that rate exists — see Offer refused at go-live.
A gift milestone is missing#
A free-gift milestone is hidden from shoppers until it has a gift variant and its Shopify discount. Select the bar and press Make gift(s) free in Shopify. See Free-shipping and free-gift milestones.
