Publishing, push live and unpublishing

Everything you do in PageStax starts as a draft. Shoppers only see a change when you publish a page or push your changes live.

Page statuses#

In Pages, each card shows one of:

• Draft — never published; only you can see it.
• Live — published, and the draft matches what shoppers see.
• Draft changes — published, but you have edited it since.
• Unpublished — was live, and has been taken down.

Publish a page#

From the editor, press Publish, choose the target and press Publish to store (or Republish (update live page) if it is already live). From Pages, press Publish on the card. Where a page goes depends on its kind:

• a home page replaces your theme's homepage;
• a product page linked to a product replaces that product's page;
• a cart design becomes your cart;
• anything else goes out as a landing page.

Push live#

Some changes aren't page publishes: switching an offer or a journey on or off, changing a live offer or journey, and edits to pages that are already live. These wait in a list until you push them.

1. When something is waiting, Home shows Push N changes live, and Pages shows N changes waiting to go live with Review & push.
2. The Push changes live screen lists every waiting change — pages, offers and journeys — with what changed.
3. Use each item's toggle to keep it Included or Held back.
4. Press Push N live.

Everything you push goes live together, usually within a minute. Running tests keep collecting data.

Unpublish#

Open the page in the editor and press Publish. Under Currently published press Unpublish and confirm. What happens depends on the target:

Unpublishing a page that isn't live does nothing.

Plan limits#

Each plan allows a number of published pages at once (the Free plan allows one). A publish that would go over is refused with a message saying which plan allows more. See Plans, limits and the 14-day trial.
