Uninstalling PageStax
What to do before you uninstall so your theme is left exactly as you want it, and what happens to your data afterwards.
Uninstalling PageStax removes the app's access to your store straight away. Once it's gone, PageStax can no longer change anything in your store, so do the one step below first.
Before you uninstall#
- In PageStax open Settings → Publishing & embed.
- In Before you uninstall, click Unpublish everything and confirm. Your home page, product pages, store pages and cart go back exactly as they were, and your drafts are kept.
- Optional: in the theme editor open App embeds, switch off PageStax, and save.
Landing pages (/apps/pagestax/p/…) stop working when the app is removed.
Then uninstall#
In your Shopify admin go to Settings → Apps and sales channels, find PageStax, and uninstall it. Any paid plan subscription ends with the app, through Shopify.
What happens to your data#
- Straight away: PageStax's access to your store is removed, and every agent token is deleted. Reinstalling does not bring old tokens back.
- For 48 hours: your pages, offers, journeys and analytics are kept, in case you reinstall.
- After 48 hours: when Shopify sends its shop data deletion request, PageStax deletes your published pages, drafts, offers, journeys, settings and analytics.
To delete your data sooner, use Settings → Privacy & retention → Delete store data before uninstalling. You'll be asked to type your store domain to confirm.
PageStax keeps a record that each deletion request was honoured; it contains no shop content.
