Policy pages that stay in sync with Shopify
Show your shipping, refund, privacy and terms policies in a PageStax design, read live from Shopify so they never go out of date.
Your store's policies already live in Shopify, under Settings → Policies. PageStax never asks you to copy them into a page. A policy page in PageStax is a design; the words come straight from Shopify. Change a policy in Shopify and your PageStax page shows the new version within a few minutes. You don't need to publish again.

Cancellation, terms of sale and legal notice policies work the same way if your store has them. You can also show your shop's name and its customer contact email (from Settings → General).
Build a policy page#
- In Pages, create a page, or open one you already have.
- Press Add section, open the Store policies category, and add Store policy — live from Shopify.
- Select the policy text. In the Content tab, under Data — your Shopify store policies, pick the Policy. The heading and the "Last updated" line switch to that policy too.
- Add an intro line above the heading if you like. It's the only text in the section that you write yourself.
- Publish the page. Store page puts it at
/pages/<handle>.
The section uses your page's colours and fonts, so it matches the rest of your design. Headings, lists, links and tables from your Shopify policy keep their structure.
Link to a policy from any text#
Any text element can show a policy. Select it, open Data in the Content tab and press Show a store policy here instead. Then choose what it shows:

When a policy is missing#
If you haven't written a policy in Shopify yet, PageStax shows nothing for it on your live store. It never fills in placeholder legal text. In the editor you'll see a note like "Add your shipping policy in Shopify → Settings → Policies". Write the policy in Shopify, and the page fills in by itself.
If you delete a policy in Shopify, it disappears from your PageStax page too.
Permissions#
To read your policies, PageStax needs Shopify's Read store policies permission. If you installed PageStax before this feature arrived, Shopify asks you to approve it the next time you open the app. Until then the editor tells you permission is missing. Pages you already published keep showing the policy text they were published with.
Tips#
- Policies are legal text. Write and review them in Shopify, where your team already manages them. PageStax only displays them.
- Shopify can generate starter templates in Settings → Policies. Read them and edit them for your business before you publish.
