Countdowns

Show a real deadline — a fixed end date or a per-visitor timer — and decide what happens when it runs out.

A countdown shows shoppers how long an offer lasts. In PageStax a countdown always counts to a real deadline: it doesn't restart every time the page loads.

Add a countdown#

Add a section that contains a countdown (for example from the Conversion filter in Add sections), then select the countdown element.

Choose the deadline#

In Content → Data (a real deadline), set Counts down to:

  • A date — one fixed end, set in Ends at, the same for every shopper. Use it for a sale that really ends on a date.
  • Per visitor — a window of a set length (Window (minutes)) that starts the first time a shopper sees it. It is remembered in that shopper's browser, so reloading the page doesn't reset it.

When it runs out#

In Content, write the Message (for example "Sale ends in") and choose When it runs out:

  • Hide it; or
  • Say it ended, with your own Ended message.
