Analytics overview
What the Analytics and Home screens show, how visitors are counted, and how far back you can look.
PageStax records what shoppers do on your PageStax pages and cart — views, add to carts, offers accepted, orders — and shows it in Home and Analytics. Numbers come only from real events on your store; there is no sample data.
Where to look#
- Home — a store overview: revenue via PageStax, revenue per visitor, average order and attach rate, plus Needs attention, Suggested next and Running now.
- Analytics — the full reports:
- Overview — store revenue, revenue through PageStax and from offers, where revenue came from, the conversion funnel and your top pages.
- Attribution — slice results by Page, Section, Buying option, Offer, Journey step, Variant or Product.
- Explorer — cross any two slices to see which combination earns most (Scale plan).
- Tracking health — whether storefront tracking is reporting.
- Exports — download a CSV report.
Choosing a range#
Use 1d, 7d, 30d or 90d. A one-day view is shown hour by hour. The newest point is still in progress, so it is marked as partial rather than dropped, and comparisons with the previous period use the same elapsed time. Days and hours are currently cut in UTC, which may differ from your store's time zone.
How far back you can look depends on your plan: 30 days on Free, 90 days on Starter, and up to 180 days on Growth and Scale. Ranges beyond your plan are shown locked.
How visitors are counted#
- Every metric is per unique visitor, not per page view.
- A slice answers what the visitors who saw this went on to do. A visitor who saw two pages counts in both, so slice rows don't add up to your store total — the total is on Overview.
- Purchases are recorded from Shopify's checkout by the PageStax web pixel.
- If a shopper declines analytics in your store's cookie consent, PageStax doesn't track them.
If numbers look empty#
- Check Analytics → Tracking health. If storefront tracking is not reporting, press Check the app embed and make sure PageStax is switched on under App embeds in your theme editor.
- Make sure the page is published — drafts get no traffic.
- Give it time: new pages show No traffic yet until visitors arrive.
Raw events are kept for up to 180 days; after that only daily summaries remain. You can shorten this in Settings → Privacy & retention.
To decide A/B tests, use the test's own screen rather than the Variant slice. See Reading A/B test results.
