Collecting and moderating reviews
How reviews come in, how to approve or hide them, and the rules that publish them automatically.
PageStax keeps your product reviews and shows them on your pages — in review sections and in the star rating of a buy box. Only reviews you have published are ever shown to shoppers or counted in a rating.
How reviews come in#
- From your storefront. Review sections on your PageStax pages include a form. Submissions arrive in Pending.
- From a review link. In Reviews, press Review link (or Get a link), choose the Product, and press Copy. Share the link with customers so they can review that product.
- Written by you. Press Write review to add one you received another way — for example by email. Fill in Product, Rating, Customer name and Review, and choose Publish: Now or Hold. Reviews you add are labelled added by the store.
- Imported from another reviews app. See Importing reviews.
Moderate#
Open Reviews. The tabs show Pending, Published and Hidden, with a count on each.

Hiding is reversible: a hidden review is kept, but never shown and never counted in ratings. The Published tab also shows your average rating with a breakdown by stars, and can be filtered by product.
Automatic rules#
The Rules card controls what happens to new reviews:
- Auto-publish 4–5 stars — publish good reviews without waiting for you.
- Hold low ratings and links — keep low-rated reviews, and reviews containing links, in Pending for you to check.
- Verified purchase badge — show a badge on reviews linked to a real order.
- Photos first on product pages — show reviews with photos first.
Rules apply to reviews that come in from then on.
Verified purchases#
A review is marked verified only when its order number matches an order PageStax recorded for your store. When you write a review, the Order number field is optional; filling it in adds the verified badge if the order matches. A review without a matching order is never badged.
When shoppers see changes#
Approving or hiding a review reaches your storefront through your live settings. If a change hasn't appeared, push live from Home. See Publishing, push live and unpublishing.
